The Vancouver Canucks and Minnesota Wild completed a 5 player deal late yestarday.
The Canucks sent young and talented defenseman Cam Barker along with 2nd line winger Richard Zednik to the Wild. In return the Canucks received Dimitri Kalinin, Juraj Kolnik, and Pascal Dupius. The Wild also recieved a 2nd rounder in 2007.
"We are extremely happy to get 3 guys of this caliber into our organization. We added great depth in the deal today" said coach Martin
All 3 will start in tonights game versus the Blackhawks
It's awesome to have these trade announcements and little press release type things, keep it up guys.
I don't really get this deal for Vancouver, a top prospect and a winger that could put up good numbers if he gets his head out of his ass for a 3rd line winger buried on a deep Minnesota team and a defenseman who had a disappointing year last year but with a lot of potential still.
Another good move for the Wild, and I don't really like Barker.

Looks like that trade did nothing in enhancing their team.. Cause i just beat them on back to back nights.. with the GWG coming in overtime while being shorthanded. so a 3 vs 4... maybe they need to get back to the drawing board and tinker more with their lines cause they have a good team.. but damn. is my team playing phenominal defence to start the season.
