there is no excuse when we have explict rules indicating the exact penalty for failure to comply, and an "away" forum to post to even if you just suspect that you won't be anywhere near a computer for a few days

other things in life have priority, for sure, but this is to be A priority, however small. taking two minutes to let us know you won't be around for a few days, week, month whatever will be received well.
