OK where is it ?

I keep hearing GM's complaining about others not replying to their PMs on here.

I have searched high and low but cannot find out where the hell I might locate this and I am logged in.

Can I get some help with this ?

Click on user details towards the top of the page. If you recieved a new message it would display right underneath where it says "logged in as".

I was under the impression as were most that ICQ is the league mandating messaging system.

I know we have ONE GM with a problem. That shouldn't change league mandate.

Also, I never check my messageboard PMs so if that is how you are trying to get a hold of me...it isn't going to work.

As mentioned in other threads....EMAIL should always work.

Why cant you check your PMs? I mean most often if teams spark an interest in trade talks then they might go to msn or icq to talk deeper and tweek deals, but PMed trade offers are not real urgent and just need response in 1-2 days, i mean you are on that often anyways, its quite easy actually.

Seriously, this is not meant as an argumentative response, but I truly don't understand the desire to use PMs from this board. People will always receive an e-mail and even if they don't respond immediately, they will know that it's there. Most people read their e-mail daily for regular everyday things outside this league, so why ask them to go someplace else for a message if they don't have to? There's no benefit to using it. It's like asking someone to go to a second grocery store to pick up milk after they go to a first store for everything else.

Don't care if it is easy. I don't log in to the board sometimes and don't make it a practice. So if I don't see the PM, I am not going to respond.

ICQ is the league mandated communicator, and you want to change the process so everyone can do things the way you want them to. If you really want, I am sure the commishes or other GMs will assist you in the install.

Your other choice is EMAIL, which everyone has and will respond to.

I don't know why this is such a big deal. We're both in other leagues and they efficiently operate with the PM system. I agree email is a better option but from now on we're going to start sending an email and PM with the same message.

But you are the only GM(s) that wants to use the PM system? No one else thinks it is a big deal to use ICQ or email.

Is there even a list somewhere with EVERYONES emails? Also if teams contact us they need to send it to both Luke and I, not just one of us.

I also want you to know that I wasn't trying to be a pain in your butt, but it seems easier for one GM to come over and do things with the other 29 than the other 29 come and do things the way the other guy wants.

If you ever want to set up a time to install ICQ, I have AIM, Yahoo, MSN and GMAIL as possible chat formats that I can assist you in getting her up and running.

Thanks Chi, we've actually tried to get an icq account and just cant figure out how to get an actual ICQ number, other than that we think we are ready to rock with ICQ... So thatd be the only area we'd need help in with getting ICQ.

Also we arent trying to be a pain in the butt either, we just are used to other systems from other leagues.
