Very fast, good skating, scorer with hitting ability, a three-year contract at a low salary.
And four g.m.s have shown interest, but none have quite committed to my initial offer. Some counteroffers have been close, but I'm gonna try to hold out for what I want.
how is moving up 1 round and moving down 3 rounds only two rounds later a no brainer?
if you really wanted a player it would be
look at some of the 2-for-1 trades, trading away TWO picks not far away to get one player/pick... that's ridiculous in a long draft... one needs another pick back, and my offer isn't unreasonable.
getting the guy you really want, who could've been a 5th rounder with the demand for him, and not having to lose too much in the process, is pretty good
it may turn out that four g.m.s were going to draft him, wanted him, but not much more than a few other guys available. that's fine. i'll gladly keep him then. no prob. we'll see.
sure he's good and was a steal I think but I think your offer and all the ones who traded 2 for 1 picks are a little ridiculous but oh well that's the price some are willing to pay, good luck.
A 6th, 11th for 7th, 8th is reasonable if someone really wants the 6th round guy who would never hit the 7th round, in this case Jason Blake. Philippe shows real class trashtalking on someone's trade block thread. He deserves a big thanks.
No he was just trying to talk some sense into you. If you offered that deal to four teams, all of whom wanted Blake, and none of them accepted it...
