if a player is in any of the following categories, they will be UFA when their contract expires

Anyone 31 years old or older

30 years old with 2 or more years left

29 years old with 2 or more years left

28 years old with 3 or more years left

27 years old with 3 or more years left

26 years old with 4 or more years left

25 years old with 4 or more years left
