Farm League

A few GMs have asked about this so I will open it up for discussion.

Do we want a full running AHL that sims maybe twice a week, 3 days at a time? With 50 rounds of a draft and older players being available in UFA afterwards, its shouldn't be hard to fill out rosters. And with league achievements for minor league stats, some GMs would like to see a full running league rather than the poor output FHLsim has for it.

Let's hear your thoughts !!!

Does this mean we will have to enter our lines twice? Once for each team, farm and pro? Or will it be auto set etc? Also will some of the % of money go to AHL champs and stuff? Wed need to monitor it so people dont stack that team when they miss playoffs.

Yes there would be seperate lines for the AHL, but like I mentioned it would only be simmed twice a week on set days so you would know you have lines to send in that day.

There already is portions set out to AHL achievements, so this would allow GMs more ocntrol over their AHL team.

It would be hard to stack an AHL team because of the rules for players being sent down. (no player 72ov or higher, goalie 73ov or higher)..... And by the point in the season where a team would be out of contention, most of their good players will have played too many games in the regular season and would have to clear waivers to be sent down.

I'd be all for having a seperate AHL league mainly because there are payouts for the AHL cup winner. The normal minor league that is done within a regular season is pretty much random and doesnt allow you to set your lines or starting goalie. Every season there will be teams that will be paying $50 and having a small shot at taking the cup or even making the playoffs. By having another team to watch and control will add excitement and give everyone a shot at taking some money home.

As Bryce said there are restrictions for who can and cannot be on the farm which will prohibit people from stacking.

Yeah it would be fun to have a full AHL league, it actually gives us control instead of basically giving a payout to whoever gets lucky.
