Really getting frustrated.

Loaded lines not being used. Ridiculous. This is a cash league and my back up goalies have started 2x more then my starter. Login reset for a 3rd time. Joke.

Ya, I was having the same issues a couple weeks back. Seem to have fixed as of late, but that's what people were telling me when I was having those issues. Have you been uploading the day before? Because I find that I have to submit my lines the day of the sim or they don't get used.

Still venting eh, Kevin.

I'm one of the most active GMs in both leagues, paid the same amount you did, and will continue to manage as I see fit providing I meet the league regulations.

Cheers!  wink

Well, since it's a pay league, I don't care that much. But, still, it's fairly obvious what you're doing considering Price is a healthy scratch and all your lines are maxed out on physical rating. And, I've never said you weren't active, that's not the case at all.

And, I understand the idea of playing for a top pick, considering I've been in that boat for the last couple of seasons. But, at least I iced the best team I could and didn't make it so intentional and obvious as what you're doing.

ummm... Price has played 10 of my 21 games so far. He was a healthy scratch because he was more tired than my other two goalies. Regardless, you're right. I want a top pick - surprise!

It's nice to know the Lightning have such a dedicated fan. Keep your focus on our squad, sir. You won't be disappointed.

really disappointing to know this is how our league has gone to be tanking at the 10-20 game mark.. annnnnyone can understand doing it the last 5-10-15 games... but for 70-80 games?

with new suggestion's for rules all the time.. i think that their should be special case RFA guideline's put in where if a team directly tanks it should affect the #'s they have to use in the calculator... say increase a Tuuka Rask, Carey Price next contract by 50% onto whatever increase is already comiing their way with the calculator.. why else would these players (in a league we trying to mimic the NHL) ever choooooose to sign with the team thatt started one of the top 7-12 asset's in the entire league 10-21 games..

IF you doooo decide u want the top pick.. why not trade carey price for future assets that can help you at the time you wanna compete by obvious being in rebuild mode and tanking for 60 games??? then everyone could understand the reasoning.. but u have assets and looking at montreal. you have a team that could be in playoff mix if it wasnt a deliberate attempt to make mockery of a very good league..

just another g.ms thoughts.

Says the guy with a stacked club who has won the cup two years running. You'll try anything to land Price, won't you, Kirk? Terrible attempt.

Fact is, I inherited a crap team and am in full rebuilding mode. I tried to make the playoffs last year and it handicapped me. I just happened to luck out and land the 4th overall pick by coming in 8th last.

Other teams have tanked deliberately, so why wouldn't I? Morals? To do the "right" thing? C'mon, be serious, people.

It's probably the sim that's doing it.. set it your lines and rosters to copy all and it may help.  In the BRHL, Jeff Zatkoff keeps getting set as my starter and Darren Helm as my 2nd line C ahead of Bolland and Stepan.

Yeah, other teams have tanked, mine included. But, what my team and others did was trade away all the pro roster talent (if you could call it that) for futures. This would obviously leave a ****ty roster and you'd end up with a high pick. In my opinion (and others will agree, and disagree, with me), what you're doing is different. Healthy scratching Price (and even Babchuk for that matter) and setting all your lines to maximum physical setting, that's going too far.

Anyways, that's my opinion.

Its a pay league if the guy wants to tank every year fly at er... I am sure the rest of the league will take his money... Happy tanking from the Wild organization...

I actually don't mind the base of Kirk's idea, but it'd be a little harsh, especially in Steve's situation. It'd pretty much make it impossible to rebuild. Not to mention he's probably going to wind up investing $300 before he's competitive, no matter how well he manages.

Exactly guys... if someone is happy spending $200+ before fielding a halfway competitive team in a few years, all the power to them!
