Jets make move to bolster blueline early in season.

With it apparent that Joe Corvo could be spending a huge chunk of time in the minors, many in the media felt it needed to provide some kind of experienced D-Man for a team with Zdeno currently the only vet on the backend. With an abundance of players having tried to fill the spot Corvo would usually occupy in the teams top 6. With an obvious hole in the lineup it has been speculated for weeks that the trade happy G.M was trying to fill the spot.

With the addition of 40year old Sean O'Donnell the team is hoping it will be huge when adding him to Chara-E.Johnson-D.Byfuglien-Z.Bogosian-T.Peckham to finally create a legit top 6 with Corvo always kicking around ready to jump to the pro's.

With his first deal of the newly started season G.M Shuck had this to say, "Adding a vetern like Sean is really a huge addition to us. He has 91-96 Ex-LD, a 76 defense, 83 Strength, 70 skating, 71 discipline, 72 fighting and even a solid 63 passing we are very excited about bringing in Sean at only a million for the rest of this season. We gave up a 6th rounder to bring in this solid vetern and felt it was a steal with the amount of depth prospect wise that we have built and also the number of picks we allready have stockpiled for next draft (3 1st's). With the deal we are confident in our pairings now with Chara-Bogosian, E.Johnson-Byfuglien, O'Donnell-Peckham we like the offensive to defensive mix we have in the group.."
