UFAs on portal?

Sorry if I should know this answer, but as a newbie I figured I would ask.

With the awesome portal up and running now, I see a ton of UFAs that weren't on the message board threads.

Are these guys free game now to bid on? And, if signed, can the player been sent directly to the minors regardless of age or they still subject to waivers?

I still have my questions on the use of the Free Agent section of the portal.

is that section active? How long after submitting a transaction do the teams being granted a player? I put my bid in last week (Thursday night I think) and nothing seem to be happen with it.

Sorry, missed this the other day.

The portal is showing some guys as UFA's who shouldn't be. We aren't using the portal yet to keep this updated.

 

If you look at the free agent report, the gusy listed are RFA's http://brhlhockey.com/brhl2/File/2011-RegularSeason/BRHL2-FreeAgents.html

If you do see someone on the portal who is 26 or older in the sim, then email the league to sign him is your safest bet.
