Draft Eligible

Just to stir up some controversy Stéphane De Costa was selected in the entry draft, however, he is actually an undrafted free agent, shouldn't these type of players be more suited to be eligible in the waiver draft since they were never selected in an entry draft.

If the league do not allow players that are passed over in the 2010 and picked in the 2011 draft, then really we should not be allowed to pick undrafted free agents in the entry draft as well...

Food for thought... :)

Undrafted FA's are draft eligible. That's one perk of having the draft after the next season's draft. If someone was passed over and selected in the following year, then that's their new draft eligible year. If someone is drafted 2 or more years after eligibility, then I can see that being addressed later on (but don't see it happening but in the rarest occasion). If we left it to just drafted players that year, the 6th and 7th rounds might as well be removed. Those picks become a waste in trades because of who you're forced to get in those later rounds.
