23 man rosters - EACH TEAM NEEDS TO POST THEIRS

Please post your 20 man roster and team pertinent information for cap tracking here prior to, and while bidding on UFA's. Consider this your official watchdog on UFA for each team.

- Once you post your roster guidelines up, you will get 750k added to your bank account if done by Tuesday night.

Remember guidelines
- 23 man pro roster MAX

- 59.6 million salary cap + 3 million cap cushion means 62.6 million is the limit

- Maximum of 5 live bids

- For this exercise, each team can put the SALARY of the player, and not the total yearly value which is on the bidding for players.

- For teams with RFA's being bid on. You do not have to include the player in your monetary considerations UNTIL he has bid on (if it puts you over based on other bids, thats fine) Once it is time to match or accept compensation, you MUST be able to fit him under the cap, or you will be forced to accept compensation.

- Players 23 and younger CANNOT go to minors unless they
a) are making less that 1.499,999 per season
b) played at LEAST 5 AHL games last season
c) Played less than 15 NHL games, and no games at any other pro level

- Players 24 and older CANNOT go to minors unless they
a) are making less than 1,499,999 per season

12F-6D-2G
or

So the idea is that we adjust our 20-man roster based on leading bids and RFAs that have been bid on that we expect to match?

By "20 man roster" do you really mean "20-23 man roster"?

Two other questions:

1. Are waivers on right now? If we send down a guy who's 25 making 800k will he be put on waivers?

2. Is there a waiver draft at some point? If so, when?

3. Why aren't we allowed to send down guys making more than 1.5 million? The rule is that they can be on the farm but they have to pass waivers to get there and they have to be paid their full salary.... right?

Is this a new rule? It's nowhere to be found in the official rules?

I am not even sure what that means...  It seems to suggest that 1 game at AHL level would make them ineligible for minors.  I don't think that is the intention though.

4.             Players with a contract of 1.5 million or more may go to the farm, but they MUST clear waivers first. Even if they go the minors, their full salary will be paid. However, during the UFA period, they must be in the pros so their salary is reflected there.

This one is in the rulebook Stevey boy...

so you are gonna have roughly 25+ players that you are "protecting"

better trim that list!

Ok I'll abide by that one... I guess the reason I questioned it is that it doesn't make any sense...

It makes sense in the fact that you have to count the really bad contracts in your organization before making more really bad contract offers in UFA....

not you specifically, but everyone

Hey Bryce,

for sending guys 23 and under to the minors do they need to meet all of the criteria you listed:

- Players 23 and younger CANNOT go to minors unless they
a) are making less that 1.499,999 per season
b) played at LEAST 5 AHL games last season
c) Played less than 15 NHL games, and no games at any other pro level

Or can they meet just one of the three criteria?
