In a massive move made today the Thrashers have changed the outlook of their team completely.

The deal saw Kyle Okposo, Dustin Byfuglien, Derick Stepan, Blake Geoffrion and Ottawa's 3rd rounder head to Colorado.

Coming back to the Thrashers is all world player Evgeni "Geno" Malkin.


The teams G.M had this to say about the move, "Seeing Kyle leave is a move we really never wanted to see happen, however when we were in discussion with Colorado he the name that the Avalanche kept mentioning whenever we would ask about Geno. After some tough negociating the two teams came together on the deal."

With Malkin we now have one of the most feared top lines in the BRHL2 with Nash-Malkin-Heatley likely skating together next year..
