After a long break from the BRHL2, the Thrashers management has returned from holidays and begun scouting, preparing for another very active offseason.. 

The Thrashers pro team is currently focussed on the playoffs and the battle with the Leafs right now... Holding home ice and taking a 2-0 lead in the series the team is looking to get a win on the road now to take a commanding lead in the series.. 

The AHL Chicago Wolves are also in a playoff battle currently tied 1-1 wth the Phantoms. With both teams in the playoffs the Thrashers are hoping both franchise's make deep runs this playoff season.. 

With the offseason approaching the Thrashers brass has recently resigned young forwards Ales Hemsky and Jordan Staal to 1 year contract extension's for next year. The team is currently working on a longterm extension with young d-man Ladislav Smid rumoured to be a 5 year extension. 

As always the Thrashers are going to play a major factor in the BRHL2 entry draft again, with 23 picks total the team is going to bring in another group of solid prospects to keep stockpiling prospects. 

With 9 of the top 45 picks we are pumped about pulling some solid talent from this draft class. 6th, 17th, 21st, 26th, 30th, 34th, 36th, 38th, 45th are all currently Thrasher picks.. 

With a solid look at the Stanley Cup and also Calder Cup and a bunch of top picks we are pleased with the direction of the Thrashers..
