The deal being leaked of Prospects Kyle Beach, Ty Wishart, Phi 1st, and Phi 5th for Jack Johnson and NJ 2nd has set the media ablaze here in Philadelphia.

GM Rex Leak when reached for comment had this to say "We now feel our defense is overflowing with players. To go along with our stud top-2 of Edler and Pronger, we now have several #2 NHL dmen such as Pitkanen, Gilbert, and now Johnson. Kuba will be heading to UFA, and Chorney and Peckham will move into those 6-7 slots along with RFA David Hale."

He continued, "I have had discussions on Jarrett Stoll in the past few weeks and once i wrap up a deal for him, I will be looking to dramatically upgrade my 3rd-4th lines at forward with one of either Tom Gilbert or Joni Pitkanen as the piece. We like them both as players, in fact we think Joni is about to bud into a superstar defenseman when his competitive juices get flowing for the Olympic tournament. Tom likewise will benefit with the increased exposure on the United States squad."

When asked about his teams start to the season, where he is only 1 of 2 teams to have not suffered a defeat in regulation, Leak had this to say "Well Alex Edler had some complications since his move from Atlanta, with him demanding a 3-person bunk-bed at the Sedin's house if he is to join the team. Daniel and Henrik have agreed to this with very little persistence from our staff. Aaaaaanyways, we are going to be extremely excited about having Edler and Johnson in our lineup rather than Hale and Stortini for the coming games. Deslauriers has no excuses and must perform up to our expectations with such a strong D in front of him, and when Luongo plays we feel we are THE toughest team to score on in the BRHL2. We have beaten the defending Western Conference #1 seed Colorado, and the defending presidents trophy and Cup Champion Buffalo so far. And to be honest those games were much closer on the scoreboard than the real-time stats would suggest they should be. We look forward to the coming year, but are also keeping an eye to the future.
