Kevin Bieksa

There's been a few guys ask about him and now I'm taking offers on Kevin Bieksa. He's signed for a pretty reasonable salary for three more years. I'm looking for the best futures package (young NHL players, prospects and picks). I don't necessarily need salary coming back, just looking for the best package for my team moving forward. If interested, get in touch. Thanks!

Ducks Add Kevin Bieksa to Blueline

The Anaheim Ducks have traded Shawn Matthias, Maxim Goncharov and TJ Brodie to Calgary for Kevin Bieksa in a move that gives the team one of the stronger bluelines in the BRHL2.

With the additions of Rob Blake and Mike Weaver in free agency, the Ducks top eight now looks to be set: p1 Blake - Campbell; p2 Bieksa - Carle; p3 Sekera - Giordano; p4 Meyer - Johnson.

With a good level of depth at defence in terms of prospects (Shattenkirk, Lashoff, Grant), the Ducks had some flexibility in parting with Goncharov and Brodie. The Ducks will need to replenish their stock of defensemen at next year's draft however as several of their defencemen will be unrestricted free agents within the next three years (Blake - 1 year; Campbell - 1 year; Bieksa - 3 years).
