The NHL instituted a Entry Draft re-alignment for teams that move further on in the playoffs. The BRHL2 will adopt this rule as well. As instituted prior to season 3 in BRHL2.

If you make a trade that involves a pick listed above, please post so I can find and change easier.

Question about a pick....Gustavsson has not yet signed a contract, although he is expected to this offseason.

From the rules:

4) All players drafted in that years draft as well as any past NHL drafts are eligible to be drafted during our entry draft. Moreover, any player that has signed as an undrafted free agent with an NHL team during the PAST YEAR (not during that years NHL off-season) is also eligible to be drafted.

Since he has not signed in the past year, shouldn't he be ineligible?

I spelt it wrong when I drafted him it should be Bouma

Rounds 2 & 3 have been completed. I'm currently waiting a few approvals on trades, so the league will likely be updated Friday night.

Apparently there was a rule change:

1) Players who were draft eligible in prior drafts (David Perron, Viktor Tikhnov), but were not drafted, are ineligible for the BRHL draft. Teams can only attain their rights by

a. Waiting and drafting them in the class they are drafted into, ala Perron and Tikhnov.

b. Waiting until they sign as free agent into the NHL ala Fabian Brunstrom, Ville Leino etc..

c. Waiting until they have turned 21 years old.

d. IF there is any discrepancies in this, the commishs office has the rights to make adjustments as they deem fit, and penalize accordingly.

Which is why I have repeatedly directed GMs to reread the rules this offseason, many modifications were made to further clarity and account for the new STHS sim.

and that is why you read the rules, I was hoping most GM's didnt catch that adjustment and I could get him later (ie 3rd round) but should of known better with a GM like Luke around who we all know likes taking players off the board and would finally have the ability to do so, good pick Luke!
