Salary Floor - What's up with this?

I just got a message from the league that says:

"This message is to warn you that your hockey team is under the league salary floor. Please fix your teams financial problem within the next 48 hours. If you do not, you could face league fines...."

How can a team get above the cap before trading opens, before UFA/RFA signings, etc...  It makes no sense.

Its an automated message from the software.  I'm assuming you can ignore until the season starts.

It's me playing around, showing you the message that would pop up smile.gif Obviously there would be no fine. That is the automated message sent.
