And now look at him, Cup champ, playing in the finals again, been on fire all playoffs. Leads in scoring, leads in plus minus. He is a beeauty."
RM-"The Sabres look like they are on quite a roll though."
DC-"Of course they are, President Trophy, Sid the kid, Iggy, Niedermayer...Brodeur. Boy they are tough."
RM-"So who do you like?"
DC-"I was going to say to be the man, you have to beat the man, but who do you pick, the best team all year or the defending champs. Too close to call."
RM-"Word is that Plekanec and Blake are playing with signifcant injuries, and that is affecting their play."
DC-"What are you some kind of dummy? This is the Stanley Cup playoffs. You are as sure to be playing hurt as you are to be traded by Kirk Shuck in the BRHL2. Everyone has bruises on their bruises."
RM-"What do you think of the run that the Rangers made this year?"
DC-"That was nice to see...Shanny, Cullen, Langenbrunner leading the way. They gave Buffalo all they could handle. But that lineup is loaded. It was unavoidable."
RM-"So what does Chicago or Buffalo have to do to get the upperhand in the finals? The Hawks with Thornton, Lecavalier, Gaborik, Vermette, Green....Sabres with Crosby, Iginla, Brown, Bouwmeester. Backstrom vs. Brodeur. And we only have a minute..."
DC-"He names half of each team and I only have a minute...anyways...hard to pick here, some great names, the two best teams in the league. It should go all the way to seven, and the team that gets the best breaks is going to win it all."
RM-"So no Sabre-rattling with a Hawk-eyed Grapes, on Coach's Corner....on CBC."
