Hart Trophy

I will be sending out awards ballots on Monday, so everyone has the weekend to bring their case forward for their players, and bump one of my top 5 for each category. Comments from the peanut gallery are more than welcome

Defencemen?  Goalies?

Hopefully some guys will pimp their defencemen or their goalies...

If he had played the entire season with the Rangers, I would nominate Chris Mason for the Hart...

2nd in GAA, 1st in SV% through 56 games is impressive, including a 30+ win season and 7 shutouts ties him for 1st in the league...

Ray Whitney was actually consistently my best player all season, but Forsberg had an incredible year in NJ before he got to my team.

Im a Goals guy, so to me Gaborik definitely gets the nod for this award.

Notice Foppa had the most PIM and fewest shots on net.. just saying this guy even sims like the all-around beast that Forsberg is/was

My favourite player of all-time:

I will pimp up my goalie as well

i got him after dumping off half my team only to have him carry me into a huge battle for 4th in the conference after being a bubble team prior to him

A few stats to backup my support for my goalie

7 Shutouts, tied for 1st in the league (4 in the final 26 games during a big playoff push)

18 of my 46 wins (39%) Mason was able to account for 39% of my win numbers in only 26 games, during a time when i unloaded what many though to be my better players!

No where near the support that other top players in the league has, Mason was able to bring my Rangers higher than most would of expected.
