Not sure if George played him for more than 10 games last season, but Mike Green deserves a nomination if he hasn't...

13 goals, 63 points in a rookie season put him up near the leaders for the defense leaders...

Give it to Kane!

72 points on the 2nd line.

The only bright spot in the bleak season in Detroit.

The only think Fleury is feeling is the boot mark I put on his ass when he was cleaning out his locker.

P.S. Vote Fleury for Vezina

Not to toot our own horn, but I would say that Green is definitely deserving of a nomination. He finished tied for 2nd in scoring for all defensemen and tied for 5th  in overall rookie scoring - the only defenseman to finish in the top 10 for rookie scoring.

Only in the minors... his ratings weren't good enough for the big squad last year.

IX. Rookies

A. Rookies are first year players in the BRHL2 or they have yet to play 50 BRHL2 games or less over the course of more than one season.

B. A player loses his rookie status in the BRHL2 once he has completed a BRHL season playing under his NHL rookie years ratings. The league recognizes that many general managers are forced to employ their prospects as professional players before their likenesses have played NHL games. It is understandable and noted that these players should not lose their rookie statuses because of this need to stock a functioning roster.

C. A player will lose their rookie status if/when he has played more than 50 professional games. This accrues over all seasons.

That's in the rules, but Bryce lists the new criteria

23yrs old or younger in the sim
1st BRHL season OR less than 10 games played in BRHL career

MacArthur has played 21 games this season for the Thrashers, so no Kirk, he's not a rookie next season...

I remember seeing Green on the pro roster of the Hawks, but whether or not he played more than 10 games, I don't know...

Backstrom sucked until like the last 20 games for me. Booth was a beast from the start, though I'd say Kane was the best
