Variables - Goalies switched amongst teams to ensure good tender on each squad (also to satisy Chicago and Atlanta, their starters were traded to see how Anderson and Price fared on their teams). - UFA's were not playing, so big names missing. - Currently unsigned RFA's not playing, so teams like Philly, Atlanta and San Jose who are slacking on their RFA didn't have key players.
Observations - Obviously not having anyone to play with Malkin (Grier and Kozlov are linemates) he doesn't have huge stats we would expect, but is still over a PPG. - Teams like Buffalo & Chicago don't have that 1 guy dominating, but the whole crew putting up PPG comparable stats. - Top goalies perform like top goalies - The NHL had 7 dmen above 55 points, we had 10. - NHL had 3 players over 100 points, as did we - Obviously their BRHL situations can affect a players points in relation to his NHL ones, but the results look pretty decent accross the board.
Liking the fact that I had the Art Ross (because goals are the tie breaker) and Rocket Richard Trophy winner in Staal...
Though it still shows the difference between Chicago and my team... they had Anderson for 82 games and still finished ahead of me, imagine if they had Backstrom!
