Ok, i know that o'brien was pissed at the hawks going after luongo and sedin, but accusing him of hair-pulling (even if it's true) in the media just reeks of immaturity... this team played like idiots in the game last night and are probably just launching these attacks to stir up some bad blood so if the hawks and canucks play in the playoffs, they'll be hoping that o'brien will take stupid penalties...

finally the national press is wondering whether 1 good year in 9 is really worth keeping your job.. and even loyal ex-oilers are saying things like "turn the page" and "go in different directions"..
on a side-note i think the entire oilers team more or less has turned on mactavish... cogliano absolutely hates the guys guts for comparing him to marchant and has let it be known to anyone willing to listen.. he lives with gilbert and gagner... who all get along with penner and nilsson (who get benched and called up and put on 4th or 1st or 2nd lines depending on reddox's availability)
but i think the guy that dislikes mact the most is souray... he basically laid it all on mact's plate the day after the anaheim loss.. saying how the coaches thought we could win the division and then after getting behind the first month, we started questioning how good we could be, and a lot of negative energy fed into some of those big losses and it spiraled to some extent...
i was at the last 2 home games and it has been almost surreal in how much the whole stadium seems to like certain players (gagner, roloson , but absolutely hate the "team" as a whole... and how much **** hemsky still gets from the fans is incredible for a guy with a ridiculously cheap contract for what he provides....
just my 2 cents but i dont see anyway around macT being gone... a decade is a little too long for me
