I'd rather pay for it elsewhere. Having a strong team chemistry leads to more wins and better performance than skill does, imo.

Grit isn't that expensive either.

I would take Avery on my team any day of the week. Each person on this list is a seperate case and some of the people are worth taking and controlling and others aren't. It all depends on their skill set and amount of trouble they bring.

Tortorella will control Avery and he will be very productive for the Rangers down the stretch.

I would much rather find it else where, you can find better players with no baggage out there.

Personally....I can't do it. I can't add a player that can mess up my team chemistry with a 5-10-20 game suspension doing something idiotic.

which one of the four? I think a lot has to do with who the coach is.

Simon - No
Hollweg - No
Downie - No

Avery because he's a gutless player, doesn't have any boundaries in how he taunts guys and is more of a poser than a player

Simon because he's a complete idiot and doesn't really bring anything to the table

Hollweg because you can easily make him lose his temper

Downie because he's got a chip on his shoulder, if he lost that, then yes

I pretty much agree with Garreth. I think I'd take a waiver at Downie though. The kid can play and play hard- I think under a coach like tort, sutter, or keenan he could do well in an energy line role.
