Not sure how many people read the hockey rumour sites but supposedly there is a huge story that is about to break in Montreal about a massive scandal that involves playes like Price, Higgins, S. Kotsitsyun, and Hamrlik. Now I know normally you have to take rumour sites and message boards with a grain of salt but it seems to be coming up in too many places for this to be nothing!
I think there is some serious truth behind this... Kovalev had already blamed the Habs' recent struggles on the young players being distracted off-ice, and with so many reports of the same thing I think there is some truth behind this. However, it seems that there will be no direct link to illegal activities, and the Habs players will be cleared... but certainly this may explain the off-ice distractions Kovalev talked about...
My personal opinion on the issue is that there's a bunch of small issues that together are starting to make sense. Sounds like where there's smoke, there's fire.
