buying tickets for your own team just to get the money? pathetic, should not get anything from the revenue-sharing... if you're reduced to buying tickets for your own team, then you shouldn't be getting anything from the league....
I agree with Betman's decision on Lidstrom and Datsyuk.
They should have gone to the game, even just to participate in the off-ice events if they were hurt. It's their obligation as an NHL player in my opinion.
Especially since they were aware of the rule as it was created last year, and apparently circulated to each time around Christmas time this season as well. Detroit has no-one to blame there but themselves. As for the other things, well ya, he is an idiot. JR for commish!!!

I agree. I feel bad for someone like Lidstrom, who has participated in so many AS games already, but the rule needs to be there.
This, however, does not mean that Bettman is not an idiot.
