What a clown. I used to defend the guy saying he added flair to the league, but I'm pretty sick of him now. What a tool.
Would have like the league to instruct the refs to allow the calgary flames to do whatever they wanted to avery instead.... have phaneuf fight avery early on, avery will turtle trying to get phaneuf the extra penalty, and have the linesmen and the refs just stand off to the side to allow phaneuf as many punches as he wants...
bet the refs were happy to hear the news, were probably going to call an extremely tight game before this suspension....
I think it's a good move in that it forced Phaneuf to cancel buying Avery his own tombstone. Even though Avery doesn't really fight anymore, if he ever did at all, I do think Phaneuf would've killed him.
