GONE - Pronger - looking for a replacement Dman (77ov-ish), plus. Interested in NHL ready prospects, 1sts, or a starting goalie. Would want a great deal, since Pronger is still 3+years from UFA, and would make over twice his current contract on the open market.
Avery - looking for defensive winger with similar contract/age, or a 1st round pick.
Cooke - Dont know what he would bring in. Just throwing him out there.
Alfredsson - same boat as Pronger. Need a replacement winger, and an upgrade elsewhere. Would like someone I can play with Kane for long term.
Modano - looking for younger 2nd-3rd line player/prospect.
White / Eaton - Both have high DF. Looking to move one or the other for best package I can get. Trade will have to wait until after/if I move Pronger.
Holmqvist - Will trade for pick or prospect if I get a goalie in alfie or pronger deal.
I do have some cap room, and may take an inflated contract if it gets me an upgrade at a position.

Cooke has been added to the block, I will move either him or Avery. Possibly both.

The deal is Pronger and "Mad" Max Talbot in exchange for Derek Roy, Mike Zigomanis, Alex Goligolski and 2 draft picks.
GM MacDonald released the following statement:
"Tough deal to make, but our team has struggled and we think it benefits our team in the long run. Chris ****ing Pronger was a strong asset for our team for years, but it was time for a change. He is on the downslope of his career. Getting Roy for Pronger was a good deal for us. Roy is the young talented first line center we have been lacking since we traded Getzlaf, and will be a perfect fit inbetween Kane and Vanek on the top line for many years to come. Goligolski is a great young defender, and will eventually be a great complement player to Burns on the Power Play, possibly as soon as next season.
Talbot was hard to trade away, but he has had a pretty slow start to the season (0 points, -5 through 7 games). We see Zigomanis as essentially the same player. He does cost a lot more, but his faceoff skills will come in handy next season when we switch to the STHS and faceoffs will matter. We lose a little bit this season in the ratings, but the 2 late picks will make up for that."
