The Thrasher have brought in someone that they very deeply regretted moving during the offseason after landing him from NJ earlier in the offseason
The deal bringing Kyle back to Atlanta was this To Phoenix- David Perron, Clb 2nd, 750k To Atl- Kyle Okposo, Atl 5, StL 5, SJ 5...
The teams G.M had this to say about the move. "When we moved Oko earlier in the offseason it was because we felt we were landing one of the best overall assets in the entire league in Carey Price. We have regretted not finding another way to complete that deal without involving Kyle, having sour emotions on moving Kyle we felt we had to do what ever it took to bring him back to Atlanta. In moving Perron we feel we lose someone who is a very quality asset but with a crowded group of kids coming into the blues nhl (berglund-eller-oshie-perron-palushaj-hjarlmasson-to name quick few) we feel his ice time could be limited. With Kyle we feel we get a kid who has unlimited potential, I see him eventually turning into an impact franchise forward in the mold of a Jarome Iginla. He is the future of the NHL Isles and his icetime will be limitless in our teams opinion which only helps his FHL value"
I honestly wasn't going to move Okposo as I didn't get any good offers for him when I was shopping him before, but Kirk's persistance, and a good offer (finally) convinced me otherwise. I apologise to anyone who feels they missed out on Oko.
Also, figured you guys might like to see... this is Rex's opinion of the deal (messages he sent me on ICQ):
Rex to Me: "so you'll never deal okposo hey" Rex to Me: "why do you continue to let kirk rape you???" Rex to Me: "i told you from day 1 not to trade with the guy and this is about your 10th deal with him with you losing each and every trade"
Me to Rex: "piss off"
Not to highjack your thread here Kirk, but I thought people might like to see how classy Rex is. I wonder if the league should fine him, that's pretty inappropriate behaviour. I mean, I don't give a **** what he says, but had it been someone else he was writing too they may actually be convinced that Rex is the only honest GM and the only GM they should deal with...
actually its really funny but after the 2nd deal you did with Kirk getting your ass pummeled, I nicknamed you "new Joe" and wow does it ever seem to fit

While I don't condone his reaction whatsoever I think this league has seen Kirk terrorize new gms to the point where they almost just seem to fold, so many times that it gets frustrating. I get the impression Kirk doesn't trade nearly as much in BRHL1 because everyone knows it's just manny being manny. I think the member who have been in here for a couple years understand that too. It's just the new ones who tend to give up after days and nights of pestering.

First off, If this is supposed to be a summary of all the trades I've made with Kirk it's completely wrong. But nice try.
Now back to reality. I gotta apologize in advance to Bryce and Eric for having to deal with this **** storm, but I've had enough and gotta speak my mind here. I accept any fines you send my way.
You know, I have absoloutely no problem with people critiquing other peoples trades. We all view the value of various assets quite differently, and that's what makes this interesting. We've all made trades that others have thought we lost, but at the same time, we all have made trades that others have thought we won. Infact, alot of the time for the exact same trade, some would say we won and some would say we lost, its the nature of the game. I know I've made some trades that others view as "bad" in my 15+ years in FHL, but aside from a few real stinkers back in the day I continue to stand by every trade I've made knowing that at the time of the deal I made a move that was positive for my team.
Furthermore, I take great pride in the fact that I don't constantly try to take advantage of weak GM's. We've all seen some weak GM's in our time. Usually it's a guy who is new to the game and needs a little time to get adjusted. I'm sure we all remember our first days being involved in FHL, it takes some getting used to. And if there is a prick in the league who is always poaching for the inexperienced GM's it can make it a real unpleasant experience for someone who is just beginning. To me, that is not in the spirit of FHL. Even in a pay league (it's only $50 a year remember!) I'd never go out of my way to better my team by beating on a weak GM. It probably means that it's harder for me to win a championship, but I'd rather have a clean concience and a tougher road to the championship anyday. It's possible to win championships and not be a bully, I know, I've done it.
Now about Kirk. Well I know him from years ago when he USED to be in the BRHL1. I know he's persistent, but I feel we usually reach a deal that is fair and helps both of our teams, so why not? He is willing to negotiate and won't continually send horrible offers (eh Rex?). If I ask him to leave me alone to get some work done, he'll gladly do so. Sure, he is one of those guys who tends to pick on weak GM's, but that's his choice, at least he's a nice guy. Not once has he told me not to trade with a particular GM, even though he might not like that GM (eh Rex!). He helped me with my entry draft when I was too busy to attend myself, and I know he does some behind the scenes work for the league.
As for Joe and other weak GM's. I'd rather have them in a league than an igonorant prick (you know who I am talking about Rex) anyday. It's just too bad that there are GM's out there who take advantage of these guys.
So Rex, please keep your nose out of my business, keep your arrogant mouth shut and consider this the end of all communications between our teams. From this point forward i will not be responding to any form of communication from you.
New Joe, u actually like the combination of deals that youve made with Kirk then??
That is an accurate portrayal of what has been dealt between your 2 teams... i just copy-pasted all your deals together and then cancelled assets that were dealt back and forth... anybody can see for themselves if they choose to go back.. theres only 5 pages to scroll through...
It is 100% accurate.
As for your argument that you've been in FHL for 15 years and you know exactly what you're doing... jeez where did we hear this before??? FROM JOE!!
"You know, I have absoloutely no problem with people critiquing other peoples trades."
Well this is exactly what I was doing... You chose to post a private conversation on ICQ on the messageboard, and now you are getting a public response since that is where you chose to go with it.
Either way, i am still interested in all your future picks, although at this pace you'll find yourself right where Joe is.

This might shock people, but I have other stuff to deal with and I'm sure Eric does as well. Rex gets a strike for unprofessional behaviour. and Fined 500k. Phoenix gets fined 500k, no strike.
I expect no more posts or comments anywhere regarding this
