Tonight is the last night for pre-season.

-Tonight and tomorrow Bryce will be finalizing ELC's.

-Coaches will be done no later than tomorrow night.

-Sponsorships will be finalized, noted and funds will be withdrawn after I sim the 1st day of regular season games on Thursday.

-I'll be notifying teams tonight of any roster, cap or floor issues to be resolved by their first game.

That's about it for now.

P.S.  If you feel like losing in a Fantasy Hockey League to, as usual, let me know. I have a few spots open I have a league going with some friends. Draft is Wed night.

The files will be updated tomorrow with any trades and roster moves in the mean time.

I've been working on everything above for the past 4-5 hrs, as well as trying to get the ftp up and running. Currently, I'm having no luck.

Even the old Geocities route turns me in circles, because they recently upgraded their system. 

I've got all but a few tweaks to the sim and files before I'm done working on everything prior to tomorrow's games.

If I cannot upload anything by 2 am EST, I'll push the start a day back.

I'll keep you guys posted.

Under no current circumstances over the past 3-4 hours have I been able to gain access to the FTP to upload any files onto the server.

So, I'll be delaying the start of the season one night. The BRHL2 Season3 will commence on Friday evening.

Recently I've had the similar problems with my FTP, which I've notified them about, and it tends to resolve itself within a day.

Got to uploading stuff the long way, through the Geocities path. FTP still isn't working, but I can upload stuff.

Everything has been uploaded. 2 exceptions: Stuff involving the Minors, Sponsorship related material will be published tomorrow after the first games.

Files and rosters are up to date.

4 Things:

1- I forgot to include the FA Coaches on the coaches link, that has been updated. You can make a coaching change at your leisure, keeping in mind the buyout rules.

2- For the time being, until i get FTP back up and working as normal, I will be updating the Xtra Stats links once a week. Linked Rosters, Linked Scoring and Overall Standings will be updated every night.

3- I'll be kicking off the sim in about 1-2 hrs from now.

4- I'll be simming Saturday to make up for the missed sim yesterday. So a full week of games to kick off the season. Although it could be a late sim due to a Penguins game and a PSU game.

4.5- (This list keeps on growing now that I think about it) If you're looking to make money, articles for the front page are always welcomed.

4.75- The minors hope to be up sometime soon.

Just a note to be safe, I have frederick norrena who was just created and in the minors, however he has to be on the pro team. Since the league files are not up to date as of Oct 10 / 08  7:38 PM EST I cannot move Norrena up onto the Pro and Grahame to the farm.

This is out of my hands for anyone who is watch dogging.

Games are Up.

Will be tweaking with the crappy scoreboard on the main page till I find something I like.


Matt (NYR) created a Salary Cap / Floor watchdog program for us to use.  Thanks Matt!

I had the program set on the off-season cap limit (53.3). The actual cap and floor is 34.3 - 50.3.

That will be fixed on the next update.


P.S. I run the program before to check the finances before I sim and after to show changes that might be made after a game has been simmed. Then I output the watchdog after the simmed games.

just 1 quick roster thing i noticed... thibault on the predators is on the farm with a salary of 2.2 million... obviously he'll have to be called up as the salary limit is 1.5 mil for farm team guys

however if you remember ... when you are in teh minors.. its only 10 percent of the salary.. so he is still good to be in the minors... funny how you are all over that just before our game... scared are we?

the point is noone is supposed to be in the minors PERIOD with a salary over 1.5 million...

and yes I am terribly afraid of your 3rd string goaltender heading into tonight because he will probably have to come in the game when my team puts up 5 goals apeice on your starter and backup...

:)

im sure this is just an oversight by the commish, because thibault hasnt cleared waivers yet... which would be the only way to get a guy with that high of a salary down to the minors legally...

well then the rules arent stated properly.. or i have a bad case of stupidness right now....

cause i thought the cap was 1.5 million for the minors.. and when you put a player down to the minors only 10 percent counts... so thibault will hve a contract of 220,000 and it technically under..... other than that.. are there any other teams over the cap of 1.5 milion for minors..

im surprised i dont understand this hahaha.. cause im on the bod and i voted for this hahaha...
