With a new GM and new outlook for the Kings franchise lots of things have happend over the summer. The Kings started the summer off by having what they felt was a strong dispersal draft but that wasn't enough to satisfy Rumpel. He decided to take the team into a full re-build and traded away any and all good players they got in the Dispersal Draft with the exception of goalie Rick DiPetro. In return for those players he recieved promising youngsters Sekera Lucic Hensick Pavelski Carle Fehr and a couple other intriguing young names. The most important assets though GM Rumpel feels are the 5 first rounders he has accumulated for next years Entry Draft. Our Scouts told us there is a lot of high end talent in next years draft so we went out and aggresively got some picks. Since the Kings have decided to re-build and most likely won't be in playoff contention GM Rumpel did what he could to entertain the fans by going out and signing some interesting Free Agents. They made a big splash giving a lot of "GOONS" big money coming to LA via trade or free agency are Laroque Belak Downey Hordichuk and Brashear. One thing is forsure we have the toughest team in the league hands down look for the opening day line up to look something like this:
