While no members of the teams coachiing or management staff were present, the entire Bruins organization has met for a couple of days of shinny hockey in Worchester Mass.
"The team is working on gelling and getting to know the new additions." Dion Phaneuf said, "None of us were happy with the way last year ended, and Shuck has done a great job in supplementing the talent level here, and we feel as though we can compete with anyone in the East."
Lofty expectations for sure, but the only holdovers expected to make the team up front are Datsyuk, Devereaux, Kovalev, Kessel and Radulov. That means over half the forward core has been revamped.
We talked to newcomer Steven Reinprecht, just signed days ago in UFA, and he stated the following, "This is a deep, deep team, we've been practicing with people in new positions in an effort to get the balance we may need everywhere. I've moved back over to enter and the buyin comes from the best guys on the team. Did you see Pavel out there on left wing with Kovalev and Getz? That is a ridiculous top line, should management keep it together."
With word that the team is close to signing and activating prospects Konstantin Pushkarev, Steve Zalewski, Viacheslav trukhno, Andrew Gordon, James Wyman, Prestin Ryan and Chris Holt. Here are the projected lines for the Bruins and Baby Bruins for the upcoming year, based on what we saw from the players lines earlier.
