In news that wasnt heard much about this offseason the Atlanta Thrashers have hired an assistant G.M who was a strong candidate to fill a empty Edmonton team a week or so ago.. After news of Edmonton hiring James Love. The Atlanta front office thought it would be a wise decision to bring in another solid hockey mind in Jason Behm to become the teams ASS G.M for a year and will look to move on next year if a team becomes avaible..

The decision according to team Owner/President/G.M/part time coach Kirk Shuck was an easy one, "With this move we can lighten the load in all areas of our team, trade talks, players resignings, scouting. With bringing in a mind like the Beamer has it is always a smart move for your hockey club. His resume is a nice one in looking around at teams hes built and trades hes done, we really feel like this will be a winning combination for the Thrashers and the league. As we the Thrashers get a solid hockey mind to help bring in good assets to our team, and to the league because a future stud G.M gets to learn ropes so when he gets his own team he can build a powerhouse, one that will compete with the best in the BRHL2."
