Rumour has it that the Hawks have moved Daniel Alfreddson to the rival Detroit Red Wings. Sources say that Tuomo Ruutu and Blake Comeau are moving to the Windy City with picks being exchanged as well.
"Well, it is unofficial because of league rules...." started GM Bachul "But I can tell you that we have made a significant salary cutting deal involving Daniel Alfredsson that allows us to keep the rest of our team together."
When reached for comment Alfredsson confirmed he was no longer a part of the BRHL cup champions.
"I had a great run and you always respect a team that brings you in and helps you win a cup. It is my first and I hope that I can bring the success with me to the Motor City."
GM MacDonald and the RedWings organization have refused comment on the situation, but they have placed an order for 100,000 replica #11 jerseys for the team's proshop. Either they expect a run on Matt Keith merchandise next season, or something is up.
