now i guess Dave can afford to take one of the open teams!!!
(yes this is me trying to goad him into joining by himself)
fact is I know Dave is a good GM, and the more good GMs, the better the health of the league..
So come on Dave, step up to the plate!
I really don't expect it to happen.....but if he wanted to...then I would have to find someone as competent to work with me. Maybe Barry Melrose is looking for a job.
We both have a lot of time and effort invested in this team....and it has taken lots of work.
Thanks for the kind words guys.....it has been the hardest I (And I am sure Dave) have worked on an FHL team.
I would like to give a strong shout out to Dave though. The guy is an incredible GM, and a solid guy too. He is the key to this victory. If someone deserves most of the credit it is him.
I also want to give a shout to some GMs. Kirk and Luke and of course all the other strong GMs. But especially Kirk and Luke, because you don't push yourself unless you have some great competition....and those two guys....very strong.....
Thanks to Eric and Bryce for this solid league...and especially Eric who made some really tough decisions but because of them, the league is solid and strong and we hope it continues. Without the time and effort and sacrifice, the league isn't what it is.
We look forward to another strong season with the Hawks....thanks again everyone.
Enough, enough, lets get the offseason underway!!!
Seriously though, congrats to George and Dave and nice job to Kirk too. He's got one hell of a team and a pile of assets to build it even stronger next year. Also congrats to the rest of the GM's on a great season, and of course a huge congrats to the boys behind the scenes... Bryce, Eric, whoever else... well done!
Finally the off season begins.. Nashville has been waiting for this day for about 90 days now haha...
cant wait for the draft.. boy oh boy.. will nashville make a splash there..
p.s. congrats guys on winning the cup..... you deserved it... although i wanted to be the first in our TOUGH division to win it... im just glad the cup is in the western conference.... the east took the cup last year.. but the west will make sure it stays here for a little while.
Eric, if you are reading, a post with a schedule timetable for the offseason would be really cool.
There is a ton of stuff to do even before trading starts....votes, awards, new GMs. Of course a small little break for the commish...(How does 4 hours sound? :) )
Congrats Georgie and Dave on winning the cup, and to Eric and Bryce for running a league better than the real thing.

Well first off I'm flattered with all of the attention but I have no intention of branching out on my own at this point. I'm quite happy being No. 1 to George's Picard.
Kudos to Kirk on an excellent series... I'm sure if it wasn't for the untimely injury bug, it would have been a much closer finals.
And big congrats to my partner George... any and all credit must go him. Some of the deals that he managed to negotiate even left me in awe.
And congrats to the rest of the BRHL2 for an excellent season!
