How on earth after my series with philly and no injury's at all??? were my lines auto'd it just screwed up the entire conference finall WTF happened???

im guessing this was an error on the leagues part and their will be a resim.. i didnt send in any linechanges and my whole lineup got turned upside down how is this possible at this crucial of a point in a CASSSHHHHHHH league...

Mistakes happen man, take a chill pill... I'm sure we'll hear from Eric about this, but it was most likely an honest mistake.

Personally, I'm against re-simming.  I would be in support of forcing your opponent to have his lines autoed the next game however.  That would be the fairest in my opinion.

Allowing a re-sim opens up a HUGE can of worms and could set a dangerous prescedent.  Infact, forcing the auto would do that too the more I think about it... tough call here

i agree with your point steve that re-simming isnt a good option or a good way to go but to have my lines auto'd was very very weird something should be done...

Kirk knows why his lines were auto'd. I don't understand why he's making beef here, possibly looking for sympathy.

I had explained to him that his lines were under violation, and that if not altered would be auto'd. To which I received no changes from him. Only views from Kirk as to why he thought his lines were valid, despite my steadfast notification (3 times) to him.

I can get into it more tomorrow when I get home from work, as I'll likely have to follow the Kirk Explanatory Protocol and explain it four more times.

Not only that, several other GMs were aware of Kirk's roster violations and are surprised that he didn't alter them after notification.

I am pretty sure that Kirk won't be that successful in getting sympathy.

i'm surprised philly isn't complaining actually... eric's explanation seems to indicate that he was being more than fair to kirk, if there is a problem, the lines should have been auto'd after the first warning.... we have a fair and generous dictator at the helm :)

which is exactly my thought gareth,, nothing was said AT ALLLLLL about my lines by the league for the whole philly and montreal series. how are they not legal now? wouldnt they have been illegal all playoffs.. and the notification eric gave me was ONCE. 1/2 hr before he simmed and auto'd my lines. my notification came while i was at supper he sent me a text message after the night before i asked him if everything was ok with my lines and he said yes he puts them in by hand he'd know if they werent right.. you know this is true eric so put whatever spin you want to, to make the league look better..

again it looks like because im bryce's brother i get screwed.. glad this is even playing field :).... my thrashers dont mind though they will be the sabres, the league, the refs everyone still game two is going to be a W......

Kirk don't give me the whole, me against the world thing. No one is against you. People might not care for your tone on the boards but no one is trying to screw you.

Lets be honest you should consider yourself lucky for using faulty lines for 2 series' and winning them, not mad that you can't use them anymore. It would be completely ridiculous to have to ask Eric to regulate lines like that for every team when it's such a miniscule detail. This is one of the things the sim doesn't catch but it would be the same as me playing Iginla on lines 1 and 3, the only way to notice it is to actually look at the lines.

Most people don't have time, or care to look at stuff like that. However, I am not most people.

I gave you fair warning that I had noticed your lines being illegal and so did Eric. So this is not a matter of you getting screwed at all; in fact, what is not fair, is you getting that advantage for 2 full series'. If anyone should be yelling for a resim it's MTL(no gm) or Rex, not you. I have no doubt that if Rex noticed the situation, Eric would have handled the situation the same.

With that being said, I hope this series doesn't go to 7 games so I have to hear about this "injustice" all summer.

like i said its ok luke. ive dealt with its since the league started i know being bryce's brother is like having to win 5 playoff series for a cup with the other things that are involved with it...

because their would be an uproar if his FAMILY won his own league....

everyone is going to say that its a non issue but until THEY LIVE IT they would have ZERO idea how frustrating it is to have the leagues admins take your opinion for not because they know through thick and thin because your the owner's brothers your not going to leave, so the league doesnt take my team as serious as others. bryce has told me PERSONALLY (but will deny obviously then laugh at me later for) they did this as a test last offseason with regards to a RFA signing that no one else would have had to endure.. but knowing me and my love for the player they tested the theory (that i wouldnt leave no matter what) and guess what i had to bite the bullet and pay the player over 750k EXTRA per season. now this isnt me saying eric sims then re-sims to make me lose, but sending me a text message then without a response to what way i want to go with my lines he auto's them then sims is another example of what ive described...

how is it the other teams job to make sure the LEAGUE is enforcing the LEAGUE'S RULES.... wouldnt it be the league's job?? we have fricken board MOD why cant they assign a line's MOD?? and i would have known about this problem weeks ago and then been able to have my team play with those lines and get chemistry with those lines. not expect me to have my team changed up after building chemsitry for two playoff rounds... for the LEAGUE to allow the lines for two series then not allow them the next is crazy to me how they can only enforce rules when they want to.... i guess im going to have to deal with it (AGAIN)  and HOPE my team can gel INSANELY quickly and win this series...





PS luke why doesnt montreal have a G.M??? did they trade away their favorite nhler on their favorite nhl team, and their franchise FHL player,  to one of their FRIENDS before leaving the league days later that would be weird if something like that happened hey biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin...well i guess it works out now though the montreal GM cant complain about the leagues misque...

Kirk, don't you think a text message was generous? The lines fell out of the rules; he didn't even have to do that. Also, when the lines error was brought to my attention, I told you FIRST and you choose to do nothing. Is Eric supposed to wait around all night to do the sim after he's already told you and i've already told you?

I sent lines with blake hurt and not playing, but because he wasn't scratched and off the bench my lines were autoset with no notice, and yes that was in the playoffs. I sure didn't get 1 notification, let alone 3 including a text.

Anyways, you didn't get screwed at all in this situation. I don't even know what the whole family deal is, if you won the cup I would think for no other reason than you have a good team. Eric runs the sim anyways and you guys aren't family so it's really a nonfactor to me.

Good luck in game 2 bud- this thread will receive no other posts from Buffalo.
