Buffalo Sabres officials met privately with the media today for a brief period of time. It is reported that a blockbuster deal has been made and is official, but for some unknown reason all the details of the trade weren't disclosed. However, Christian Ehrhoff and Martin Havlat were pulled off the ice today in practice, and it is believed the NYI pick has been dealt along with a couple early-mid round draft picks. The suitor of Havlat, Ehrhoff, and the picks remain unknown, as well as the return. More details to follow...

After only being on the ice for 10 minutes today Christian Ehrhoff and Martin Havlat were caught up to by media outside the HSBC Arena in Buffalo, NY. When prompted with their removal from the team they had this to say.
"I'm not sure what to say. I dont even know what's going on. Coach Renney told us we've been dealt but hasn't even told us where. I'm packing for somewhere but I'm not even sure where. This is not something that I really want to talk about, I've been loving my time in Buffalo, we've been successful but you can't deny the fact that our recnt struggles have something to do with this." said Christian Ehrhoff
"I'd prefer not to talk about it." Is all Martin Havlat had to say teary eyed and under the cover of his Sabres ball cap.
Coach Renney had this to say "We had to remove them from practice, they aren't our property anymore and if they sustain an injury under our discretion we'll have a suit we aren't prepared for heading into the playoff drive. Our GM Luke Wile has obviously made a move he believe will better our team and that's his job to do. You know as much as I do."
The Sabres have had their share of recent struggles losing 4 of their last 5. They visit Dallas tonight who are as hot as any team winning 9 of their last 10. No word yet as to whether or not the new players coming to Buffalo will be in tonights lineup.
