Trade Predictions

List some of the Players you expect to be traded. Where to, and for What? Also, if you want to include some teams in general and predict what they might do (minus going for the HR and trying to guess the actual players).

Time to see how ridiculous our predictions can get.

--PLAYERS--

First off: Olli Jokinen, won't get dealt. Unless it is a gross overpayment.
Jokinen won't get dealt. His contract runs through 2010-11? Plus his team is a quality FA away from contending in that SouthEast. If the Panthers trade Jokinen, and don't get an upgrade (which is nearly impossible), then they might as well trade Vokoun too

Sabres will also bite the bullet and keep Campbell.

I also don't get the feeling that Alex Tanguay will move, unless there is a need for a roster shake up. In that case, I could see Ottawa getting involved.

I also don't see the high salary guys (Glen Murray, Jagr, Sundin) moving unless it's a deal that really makes sense. So, in other words, it won't happen.

Ladislav Nagy to Dallas for a 2nd or Loui Eriksson

Darcy Tucker to San Jose

Dwayne Roloson to San Jose for a 5th or some sort of conditional pick.

Rob Blake to Montreal, Atlanta or maybe even Washington.

Vaclav Prospal to Vancouver.

--TEAMS--

Minnesota Wild: Could be in the mix for Roloson, or some other backup to sure up a duo for a run. As well as they might look to even out a 3rd - 4th line player who is a proven playoff performer.

Tampa Bay Lightning: Will be very interesting to see if anyone takes a run at the big 3. I'd expect Vinny is off-limits. And the contract of Richards would be tough to swallow. But it could happen.

Pittsburgh Penguins: I doubt a big move, despite the cap room. I think if they came across some UFA-to-be 2nd tier scoring available (Satan, Nagy) for a reasonable price. Then a move could make sense. But they won't jeopardize their core future for any moves.

Overall, I see a lot of the borderline teams staying relatively quiet. Unless the moves made by other teams puts them in a tougher position to win with their current roster.

I'm sure I'll think of more, but that's all I can think of now.

If I get 1-2 right, it's a miracle.
