With the tides turning in avalanche land, and key players picking up the slack, GM Simnor is making an early attempt to land key players. 'I would rather make a few deals now, than at deadline time...let the players gel a little...last year we had Rivet billeting in Kolzigs basement most of the year...it was an ugly situation'.
The Av's are looking to move a few of their highly touted prospects, namely Wheeler, Downie, Schwarz and Marchand, coupled with a few vets : Sanderson, Perrault, Primeau, Robitaille to land a top RW.
Also, the Av's are looking to move either Schultz or Van Ryn, with a pick/prospect to land a more offensive minded Dman.
Lastly, if the right deal surfaces, the Av's will be looking to add a top (80+ OV) goalie to the mix. Although Kolzig has been a long serving Av, and is loved in the mile high city, he knows it may be in the teams best interest to move him with another asset for a solid backstopper...
