Tonight the Ranges made a few moves tweaking the teams roster. Although still steaming from losing its #1 player Ed Jovanovski to a misunderstanding, GM DesMarais didnt lay down and take it, he set out to upgrade his team and makes some moves.
In one deal the Rangers brought in a #1 goalie in Andrew Raycroft and sent out Al Montoya/ Alexandre Picard (d), and Marek Zagrapan. The Rangers came to realize that all 3 would be AHLers for life with no sign of legitimately cracking an NHL roster anytime soon. Razor is having a bismal season but there is hope that he'll be traded soon and the new scenery will serve him well as long as Razor being a personal favorite having been a season ticket holder during his days as a Providence Bruin.
In another deal the broadway blueshirts sent Christoph Schubert, Brian Boyle and Bos 2nd 08. Coming to the Blueshirts is the teams new 1st line rightwing Todd White and 2.5 million. Todd White and his 75df is exactly what the club was looking for on the PK as well as a topline RW to play with Gomez and Pavelski. Boyle we had given up on after his poor showing in the Kings camp this year and Schubert continues to be the odd man out in Ottawa for quality minutes and became expendable as well.
