here at the oilers game tonight in edmonton..... oilers open the season... something special about opening night....
I bumped into bryce shuck at the game and he agreed that if I dealt him a 1st hed trade me lots of oilers.... and get me up to roster requirements....
I grabbed this treo, and a deal was struck.... he even gave me more than i expected
anyways its awesome 2 watch these young oilers play..... I've got a good feeling about the season, but in the new NHL, that can be said for 25 other franchises...
anyways GO OILERS GO!!

loving the fact that a guy I traded for in the 1st period scored the oilers first goal of the season....
I also knew gilbert had that offensive upside, but he is far better in his own zone than I expected...
and kirk, since u were probably watching the game I'm sure u saw souray give the puck away on that PK with less than 30 seconds left.. then joey t took care of tying the game up....
but don't worry, I had the stoll jersey on.... and of course that means shootout winning goal!!!!
ps... y in the **** did macT use reasoner as one of the shootout guys? no pisani this year. macT is such a genius

LOL. This is an interesting thread. I like having fans of various franchises around the league. Especially one that I HATE! haha. It just adds more fuel to the fire, which is a good thing. I like to hear how each team is doing though from a generally unbiased source... which Im not sure if this is just yet.

yeah ur right on both accounts george...
it was souray who turned the puck over to joey, held him, and was in the box.......
as I was drunk, all I could remember was souray costing us all night... and especially at the end of the game there...
but on the 2nd oilers goal he didn't even step into the slapper, and noone was remotely screening nabokov, and souray got the puck past him... for brodziak to tip in...
anyways its gonna be a roller-coaster season with that douchebag.
