Let's start January 1st.

Give us a break from all the signing.

I know it would be optional, but one would be tempted to do if one could.

as this league is supposed to mirror the nhl wouldnt we want it to be as realistic as possible? waiting till january isnt realistic, sure some player might not want to sign deals at begining of season and will only talk about a new contract later in the year, like smyth last year in edmonton. heater almost this season until yesterday. but their is a majority of guys who get new deals during the season and the way things went last year at end of RFA where eric was swamped maybe it could be a good idea to get some of them guys resigned throughout the regular season. just a thought.
like if u have a guy who u think will have strong season wouldnt it be smarter to TRY and resign them before they have that breakout year.. much like tampa brhl2 did last year with bergeron. it was great management.

Just kinda curious when we will be starting the resigning process..

i think it's crutial that we DO start now to avoid the hectic last month we had (or eric had) last year. Also, Kirk is correct.

I would also like to start now. If you think a player is going to breakout, waiting until January will lose any advantage you have by negotiating now.

If Eric and Bryce are busy now, it isn't a big deal, as long as we can make offers and whenever they have time they evaluate the offers as of the players value right now.

Yeah, I agree with Florida. Buffalo got the shaft on JBO last year. We had a deal in place from his value at the beginning of the season and it didnt get dealt with officially until the end of the season after his 79 rating came out.

Won't be for a little bit.   When it does you'll hear from us.

it has been a full month can we please please look into getting this started as it is supposed to mirror the nhl and guys are signing new deals all month (spez, heater, brown etc etc) it seems like were drifting farther and farther away from the realness of the nhl might be just me but i dunno, hopefully we can get some good thoughtful discussion on this topic.

we run a FULL SEASON BEHIND the nhl, and the flurry of re-signings to longterm deals seems to be a trend begun this year (was very infrequent in the past), so...

re-signings we should do all along NEXT brhl2 season

But they ARE signing NHL deals and its not a new thing last year moreau, staios got new deals right in first month of last year, and then this year, heater, spezza, fisher etc etc IT HAPPENS NHL SO IT SHOULD HAPPEN BRHL..

we should try to simplify things this year..

NHL contracts should be a huge factor in negociating all RFA....it would really reduce much on the debating of the BOD board.

Only when a contract is deemed to be ridiculously low/high should the NHL contract be ignored (i.e. Vanek's NHL salary)
