After his first practice in Atlanta Dustin Penner met up with the media to talk about his new team. "I just love it hear, the team, the city, the people everything is just great. I skated with a future HHOF'er today and it looks like i could be on his line all season. After watching Rod my whole life as a kid it is a great honour to be able to play on the same line with him, My other line-mate is an awesome player too, I never understood the speed dainius had until i had to keep up with him trying to break out of our zone, the guy has some terrific wheels."
when the media swarm caught up with his new line-mate rod brindamour the vetern had nothing but great things to say about the young powerforward, "Dustin is a strong strong young kid, he is going to have a bright future hear in atlanta if he stays focussed. He reminds me of a guy i used to play with in eric cole just a beast of a forward who cannot be handled by one d-man hes like a great WR in football or Center in basketball a guy who dommands a double team."
With his enormous size and strength big things are expected of penner this season in atlanta.
