The Blackhawks made a bench move today that they hope will put them over the top when it comes to the BRHL this season.
After some negotiation, the Blackhawks entered an agreement that sent Guy Carbonneau to Washington along with a 2nd round pick to take over Bryan Murray's contract.
"Well, I would have to say that I thought Guy had potential to be a great coach. But I think some of the players didn't respond to he teaching style. Bryan is a motivator, and he will mould this team into a winner." said GM Bachul.
"I am quite disappointed that Chicago went a different way, but relish my new challenge in Washington." Carbonneau stated as he went on to ink a three year deal with the Capitals.
"We had a players only today..." said Captain Joe Thornton, "And to a man we are all excited to see what Bryan has in store for us. We are looking forward to have him take over. It is an odd move to see during training camp, but Bryan is a top coach in this league and we are all going to be motivated to prove ourselves."
