oh and ps olli jokinen has played center his whole life how on earth he move to rw?
i was gonna ask the exact same thing
must be an administrative mistake as i'm sure no one tried to make a fast move
to be corrected:
because of of course according to the BRHL2 rules positional changes need to be in accordance with the valid sources cited int he rules and I checked them all: Jokinen is a c, just as he was last week before the administration moves

Check a few sources out and you'll find your answer.
ii. A request can be submitted to league offices to change a players listed position to that of another however the requesting team must provide evidence of the player at the requested position. Evidence considered valid would be a reputable source such as www.tsn.ca, www.nhl.com, www.nhlpa.com,www.hockeydb.com, or www.espn.com. Sources such as: www.iheartjovo.com are not valid.
As I said before, and just doublechecked, Olli Jokinen is a CENTRE only at EVERY reputable source in the BRHL2 rules. Every one.
Jokinen needs to play centre only. Administrative fix to be done.
Buffalo already has two centres in Crosby and Kopitar so having Jokinen as their third centre doesn't serve their best interests. A trade might be in order.
The BRHL2 rules are clear and have been there from the start. We can change the rules, make it more flexible, less realistic (less like the NHL) but any such rule changes would come into effect for the following year.

Jay please read carefully before you make a big deal of something and post in size 20 font. It clearly says such as. Meaning, it doesn't have to be those 5 but those are example of reputable sources. Also, you need to know if a players main report from those sources say, He can play wing on the assests, then he can play wing.
Not that I really need to prove anything to you because I already submitted it to the league for approval, but if you've been following hockey for a while OJ came up as a C/W, his situation in florida made him always be the guy, even though he has moved to wing for games at a time.

you provided a LINK from a reputable source?
or did you put it in as the commish was making administrative repairs after so many players ended as centres when they aren't
did you slip it in as an administrative fix or as a "positional change with link to reputable source"?
As Kirk said, he's always played centre. I cannot find any source saying he's a winger. Perhaps I should see if Fedorov or Yashin can play left wing. How did you do it? Help another g.m. take whatever advantage of the rules you see in it. Let's be consistent! How did you do it?
buffalo, normally I agree with you guys on this stuff, but in order to get the league to mirror the NHL as closely as possible, WHICH HAS BEEN YOU GUYS' WHOLE ISSUE, Jokinen should be playing exclusively at center..... there really is no debate for this....
If the rules say "such as" that is a load of crap because if I remember correctly we've had a long thread discussing this positional thing, AND we decided to make it exclusively those few listed.....
I specifically remember being ****-blocked on moving one of my players to center (i think lehtinen) even though I found a site showing him at center....
So in the issue of fairness, its kind of BS for you guys to pull a filip and protect your "loophole"

and PS, we know how active you guys are and will probably come up with 5 deals before the season starts that finds you a deal you win that moves one of your 3 C.

that was at the back of my mind, but the flip side is the precedent is now set and we can all follow it, in the interest of fairness
will take some getting used to, to see Ollie Jokinen as a right winger, but we don't have to follow the NHL so closely, do we?
to reiterate, I got ****ED OVER by the league on this, if this is the way we are gonna have it........
and it probably cost me a playoff spot, so unless the BRHL2 management is really looking forward to handing out REFUNDS, then this issue had better be addressed with the same sternness as last season towards the playoffs....
I AM GONNA BE OFF THE CHARTS PISSED IF THIS ISNT ADDRESSED THE SAME WAY IT WAS BROUGHT UP TO ME LAST SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!! WHICH I MISSED THE PLAYOFFS ON A TIE-BREAKER!!!!!!!! CANT EVEN TELL ME THAT LEHTINEN MOVING FROM 2ND LINE LW TO 1ST LINE C WOULDNT HAVE IMPROVED MY CHANCES
