After a trade near the trade deadline that sent Ryder, along with Orpik and a 3rd rounder to Philly in return for Ponikarovsky, Daley and TB 1st, Ryder has been reacquired from the Flyers.  The move was made to gain more assets for the depleted Kings franchise. 

Gone to Philly are Scott Hartnell and recent draft pick Andreas Nodl.

Coming to LA are the previously mentioned Ryder along with Brad Winchester and Philly's 1st and 2nd round picks in 2008. 

It was a tough move to make as LA really liked Hartnell and Nodl but the value coming back was just too much to pass up.  Ryder should actually provide more scoring this year than Hartnell as well.
