First deal Gm Sambataro sends VAN 1st 2007(5th overall) along with Dimitri Patzold for Tim Connolly PIT 2nd 2007 and Fredric Cassivi. Vancouver got the center they needed.
Then in the biggest deal of this Franchise they send Martin Erat along with NJD 1st 2007(20th overall) for Superstar Steve Sullivan.
Sullivan who will be a UFA at years end will be eligible for Lemieux Tag which Vancouver had no one close to that level.
