The top 50 list is already public for those who have subscribed. It doesnt determine quite yet the 50 prospects that will earn their team some money but Id say about half to 2/3 of the 50 are owned by a BRHL franchise, but the other 3rd is this next draft or so. Here it is:
1.Erik Johnson Stl. 2.Jonathon Toews Chi 3.Nicklas Backstrom Wsh 4.Jack Johnson LA 5.Carey Price Mtl 6.Marc Staal Nyr 7.Peter Mueller Phx 8.Kyle Okposo Nyi 9.Luc Bourdon Van 10.Kris Letang Pit 11.Bobby Ryan Ana 12.Derick Brassard Clb 13.Cam Barker Chi 14.Tuuka Rask Bos 15.Leland Irving Cal 16.Steve Downie Phi 17.Drew Stafford Buf 18.T.J Oshie Stl 19.Michael Frolik Flo 20.Benoit Pouliot Min 21.Ryan Parent Nas 22.Eric Fehr Wsh 23.Jiri Tlusty Tor 24.Jonathon Bernier LA 25.Jakub Kindl Det 26. Just a question. If this league is based on the 05/06 season, then wouldn't it only be fair that the prospects are based on the 05/06 season? I understand that this league does not do 'rookie re-rates' half way through the season, as some other leagues do. If the ratings and everything else go with the 05/06 season, then I would expect the prospects to be the same. Does this mean that who ever drafts E.Johnson or Toews is guaranteed $ because they drafted them?

p.s. not just saying this because i have Malkin...
As soon as the list come out, the top 50 guys on it in our league are determined. The team that owns each of those 50 get paid. Pretty simple.
Actually not simple at all. How can the league payout for the top 50 prospects when 10 of them haven't been drafted into the league?
The only solution other than to draft the 2006 and 2007 drafts and catch up to the NHL is to not to determine the payout until after the 2006 BRHL2 draft.
If you guys paid attention you'd know this solution has already been solved. THN future watch ranks at least 75 players, so its all the already drafted top 50 that get their owners money.
Okay so dont call me stupid or an idiot when i ask this question guys.. hahaha
but jonathon toews was drafted by which BRHL team cause i was hoping to get into the sweepstakes of one of the teams not making the playoffs in getting him
i dont really understand the comments from buffalo. he said top 50 get paid.. and he listed teh top 50 yet i dont see toews being drafted by anyone...
maybe we should just let eric and bryce do the release since they are the guys that will have the actual list out.

Could you redirect us to the thread that states this answer? I don't want to go by memory.
Ill look for it later, maybe try searching the word "clarification" and you might find it. Or maybe "TSN" though that might produce alot of results, but in this case its referring to The sporting news, which has since been changed to The Hockey News I guess?
Buffalo is right, this was answered awhile back. THN ranks about 100 guys according to Bryce so it's the top 50 from that list that belong to a BRHL2 team that get paid.
SO i'm just wondering, but the teams that have guys like Staal and Kessel will never get anything for having them, as far as top 50 prospects?
WHy don't we wait to pay until after the draft? That way the team who has phil kessel will get the 5 bucks or whatever instead of the team with Jeff Schultz.
