After having the BOD review the entire Sundin thread and outlying the scenario for them the BOD has unanimously voted to uphold the suspension and release of Mats Sundin.
The main points of the BOD
- "If this is reversed it makes the rule pretty much unenforcable, the cap was violated."
- "League Files are RARELY updated between sims, just because it's Friday-Sunday doesn't matter, everyone knows, or should know, there is nothing updated on Saturdays."
- "No effort was made to get under the cap after the deadline."
- "It was clarifying via email when the trades get processed, they should have known that and ignorance is not an excuse"
- "It's unfortunate, but the rules are rules, every team should be aware of that, whether it's there 1st or 50th trade."
What do you think the chances of these rules involving what type of discipline should follow the violation of going over or under the cap limits being changed in the offseason? Will it be revisited then?
