Also I still think stripping a team of its players is retarded.
I think it should be a ladder system using draft picks. First offence take away their 7th, second 6th, third 5th, etc... all the way up to 2nd. I dont think a team should lose worse than its 2nd.
At least I know our team wont ever be effected by this rule. We watch that stuff. Its pretty easy to watch.

That system is retarded as well. If I knew the worst I could lose was my 2nd, I would just go 15 mil over the cap, build the best team possible and win the cup with UFAs.

I like the rule. As crazy as that sounds, I really do. i don't think any team should be over the cap and they should be hit hard if they do. I just don't like the way this all went down is all. We were very cautious of our cap because we were sitting pretty close to the ceiling. It doesn't make sense that we would throw a whole successful season out the door for a number 5 d-man.
ok, well CLB, this system would be based on every game you are over the cap, so for you to lose picks 7-2 would take 6 games. Maybe after that itd need to be more progressive still. Possibly then taking the LOWEST paid player from your roster until you are at the proper cap value.
